WVDEP Patriot Spill MCHM Sample Results
The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection released a statement saying that MCHM was at non-detect levels, or lower than 5 parts per billion(ppb), at five locations: three on Field’s Creek and two on the Kanawha River. These tests were conducted after 108,000 gallons of coal slurry spilled in Field’s Creek from Patriot’s Kanawha Eagle Prep Plant on Tuesday, February 11.

WV PPH Water Sample Data February 15
Water sample information provided by the West Virginia Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. This sampling was conducted between 1-10-14 and 2-15-14. The department has not published any information about who did these tests. These results are all for PPH.
