Incident Description: A 4-inch condensate conduit operated by Williams Energy ruptured, spilling 132 barrels of the substance into Little Grave Creek in Marshall County, West Virginia. Marcellus Shale condensate is a light liquid hydrocarbon very similar to crude oil. Approximately 6 miles of Little Grave Creek were affected. Residents report a visible sheen along the creek, along with a slight odor. Because the creek is a tributary of the Ohio River, this condensate eventually made it into the Ohio River.
